Isabella Tatter Velvet Ruffle Bedding

Isabella is where our bedding story began many years ago, and it is still at the heart of our velvet work. Small batch dyed linen and silk velvet are hand cut and artfully sewn into velvet ruffle bedding that is dramatic to look at and easy to live with, because it is machine washable.

How Isabella is made

The duvet front and back are washed, pre-shrunk and softened linen and cotton. Around three sides, full, rich gathered silk and rayon washed velvet falls around the bed in a tatter ruffle. The duvet zips closed. Shams and pillowcases carry the same ruffle so the whole bed reads as one.

Ten colors

Isabella is available in Crème, Chambray, Rose, Natural, Topaz, Champagne, Aubergine, Denim, Cacao and Aloe. Crème has a little tint for the perfect creamy white. Rose has been one of our best sellers for over ten years. Champagne is the essence of relaxed California style, and Topaz and Cacao bring deep, earthy hues. Pieces and pairings

Choose a Full/Queen or King duvet, standard or king pillowcases, and standard, king, Euro or Grand Euro shams. Layer in Isabella Silk Velvet Pillows and an Isabella throw for the full effect, or mix two colors, such as Champagne with Crème.

Care and lead time

Machine wash cold with gentle liquid soap and no bleach, and lay flat or tumble dry on a cold setting. Our silk velvet care guide has step by step instructions. Linen and velvet bedding typically takes 2 to 3 weeks to make before shipping. Because each color is dyed in small lots, order every piece at the same time.
