Made in California since 2010
Our Process
Every piece starts the same way: with your order. Here is how a duvet, a sham or a pillowcase travels from a roll of fabric to your bed.
Why we make to order
No warehouse of leftovers
Many stores import a container of finished goods, sell it as fast as possible, then mark down whatever is left. We decided long ago to support our USA factories instead. Except for items marked Warehouse Sale or Sample Sale, every product is made after an order is placed. It takes a little longer, and what you receive is made just for you.
Step by step
From fabric to your bed
We pull the fabric
When you place your order, we enter it and pull the fabric rolls from our local inventory. We use only natural fiber fabrics.
We dye or print in small batches
Our fabrics are dyed here in custom batches, in small dye lots, and our prints are printed to order.
We hand cut every piece
Every piece is hand cut with scissors. Nothing is cut by the thousand.
We hand gather the ruffles
The detail that gives our beds their soft, romantic fall, from the long tatter ruffle on Clementine to the triple tiers on Giselle.
Our seamstresses sew your order
Everything is sewn to your order in our workroom, one piece at a time, by seamstresses who take great pride in what they make.
We pack and ship
Your order ships via UPS or USPS Ground with tracking, and you get an email with your tracking number.
How each collection is made
Four ways we make a bed

Cotton poplin
Ruffle bedding
Our cotton poplin had to be durable, washable and feel amazing: light and crisp, with an old school, grandma's sheets kind of feel. Clementine, our most-loved ruffle bed, is framed by a long, tatter-style ruffle that is hand cut and hand gathered. Giselle is crafted one piece at a time, with triple tiers of soft poplin.

Prints
French toiles and vintage florals
Inspired by antique documents, then designed and printed exclusively by us in small batches on 100% cotton poplin. We print the fabric, then wash it so it is pre-shrunk and soft. Many styles come with a tatter ruffle or a simple hem finish, Twin through King.

Linen
Softly washed linen
Our linen pieces use softly washed linen and cotton blends. Velvet Border is washed 55% French yarn linen and 45% cotton, and Gypsy Ruffle Linen is garment dyed, pre-shrunk and softened, with each piece hand gathered and sewn.

Silk velvet
Silk velvet and Linen Salvage Luxe
Our velvet is a silk and rayon blend, small batch dyed, and washable. Isabella pairs washed linen with full, rich gathered silk velvet ruffles, and our silk velvet throws and pillows are made in small batches too.
