Care guide
How to Care for Cotton Bedding
Our cotton poplin and voile ruffle bedding, sheets, pillowcases and bedskirts are made to be washed. Here is how we recommend caring for them.
Washable by design
Made for real life
From the start, we wanted all of our bedding to be washable. Many cotton pieces use pre-washed, pre-shrunk 100% cotton 200 thread count poplin, and our voile ruffles are washed featherweight cotton. Care notes differ from piece to piece, so always check the care note on your item's product page.

Cotton poplin
Like grandma's sheets
Our poplin is light and crisp, with an old school feel, and it washes wonderfully. Ruffles are hand cut and hand gathered, so a gentle shake while damp helps them fall softly.

Good to know
Why do the care notes differ between pieces?
Some product pages say cool or cold water, and some sheet and pillowcase sets say warm water on a gentle cycle. Care notes differ from piece to piece, so always check the care note on your item's product page.
Can I iron it?
Yes. Our cotton care says iron if desired, and many sheet and pillowcase sets say warm iron as needed.
Can I dry clean it?
Our cotton care notes are all machine wash instructions and do not call for dry cleaning.
Will colors match if I buy more later?
We dye and print in small batches, so colors can vary slightly from lot to lot and later orders are not guaranteed to match. Order everything you need at the same time, and order a fabric swatch if you would like to see a color first.
